Our guarantee for all implantology work we carry out

We give you an 8-year guarantee on the implantology work we carry out ourselves. Our warranty is as follows:

  1. A healing phase of the implant

As implantology experts, we are liable for impairments during the first phase of treatment: implant healing. We define this healing phase until the implant finally achieves its load-bearing capacity. If the dental implant is lost during the healing phase, we will either carry out a re-implantation or reimburse you for all costs. The complication rate for this is only 2% to 3%.

  1. Loading phase of the implant

The warranty for our implantology work is limited in time, as the long-term lifespan of dental implants depends on numerous, sometimes arbitrary, factors. You can have a positive influence on the long-term benefits of your dental implant through your behavior, for example:

  • Regular, careful dental care
  • Regular check-ups, including professional teeth cleaning
  • Don’t smoke at all or only smoke very little
  • Do not use teeth as tools, only for biting and chewing
  • If you grind your teeth or clench your teeth, seek dental help

The implant itself and the personal anatomical conditions in the mouth also affect the durability of the fixed denture. The type and number of implants and their total length, as well as the relationship between implant length and tooth crown length, exert specific physical forces. The width of the jawbone and the structure of the bone substance also influence the longevity of dental implants. Targeted bone augmentation can extend the durability of implants. With single-tooth implants, it is important that neighboring teeth and teeth on the opposite side of the jaw are present.

Dental Implant Warranty: Conditions

The warranty for the dental implants we carry out is linked to certain conditions:

  • You will regularly have your scheduled check-ups and professional teeth cleanings with us.
  • You will thoroughly care for your dental implants and any remaining natural teeth at home and ensure conscientious dental and oral hygiene. If we discover any deficiencies, we will talk to you about them, advise you, and urge you to practice more careful dental and oral hygiene. We will also create a photo report. Continued inadequate care may void our warranty.
  • Dental treatments carried out in other practices or clinics will void our warranty.

Implantology – FAQ

What is implantology?

Implantology refers to a procedure unique to dentistry for permanently inserting artificial teeth into the jaw.

The dental implant taken for this purpose is a surgically fixed tooth replacement that resembles a natural tooth in function and appearance. This consists of two parts: the implant anchored in the jaw as a tooth root replacement and a crown placed on it. In common usage, the term “dental implant” almost always refers to both parts as a unit.

What is, and what does implantology do?

An “implantologist” is a dentist or oral and maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in inserting dental implants into the bone of the upper and lower jaw. However, “implantologist” is not yet a state-protected professional or activity title. Every dentist is allowed to use dental implants after obtaining their license – but not everyone has the necessary surgical skills and the practical experience and expertise in the field. Choosing the right implant based on the requirements of a patient requires considerable expertise in the matter. It should, therefore, be left to an expert in the field of implantology or implantological surgery.

What can implantology do? / What are the consequences of an untreated tooth gap?

Development is often gradual: a gap in the teeth occurs. Especially if the gap is in an invisible area, it is tempting not to do anything about it or to postpone dental treatment indefinitely. The main reasons are discomfort before dental treatment and fear of high dental costs.

If even one tooth is missing, the chewing system loses its functionality. In addition to loosening teeth, the bone substance in the jaw is also broken down. Jawbones require continuous stress, otherwise they will gradually deteriorate. In extreme cases, it can lead to complete toothlessness, with restrictions on eating and enjoyment, as well as a strong feeling of shame in interpersonal contacts.

Please don’t let it get to that point! Modern implantology restores your former quality of life—a carefree smile and safe chewing comfort.

  • An implant brings you more well-being.
  • Achieve a new quality of life with dental implants:
  • Your dental implants fit as tightly as your own teeth.
  • The mouthfeel is like real teeth.
  • You can eat anything you like.
  • You can finally laugh carefree again.
  • Your implants appear completely natural to others.

Implants from a dental perspective

Dental implants are beneficial for maintaining a firm bite and chewing function:

    • Implantology can close even large gaps between teeth.
    • Healthy neighboring teeth remain intact.
    • Bone loss caused by gaps in teeth is prevented or stopped.
    • Toothless jaws can be completely restored with just 4 to 6 implants.
    • Even years of toothlessness are no obstacle to modern implantology.
    • There is no upper age limit for implantology.
